2018 Tuesday Evening 9 Hole Match Play

This year the Summer League will be 12 weeks long and start on Tuesday, May 8th and end on Tuesday, July 31st. There will be no play on July 3rd due to the 4th of July holdiay. If any of the dates are cancelled due to inclement weather the make-up dates will be August 7th and 14th.

**New for 2018, this year will run straight thru and not be split up into halves.

**New for 2018, the format will be a four-ball match play with strokes awarded based on the difference on the low handicap in each match. The total points accumulated during the season will determine the final standings.

The match competition is one net better ball of two. If the low ball is tied, the second ball will be counted. For this competition the max score (stroke limit) on a hole will be a net double-bogey. (10 points are available per match)

Points are awarded as follows:
Winning a hole:                               1 point
Losing a hole:                                   0 points
Halving a hole:                                ½ point
Winning the 9-hole match               1 point
Forfeiture (opponent no show)               Match (Net) vs Par

Handicap Example:	Team A ----------- Player A has a 5 hdcp. Player B has a 9 hdcp.	Player A will receive 0 shots Player B will receive 4 shots
	Team B ----------- Player A has a 7 hdcp. Player B has a 6 hdcp.	Player A will receive 2 shots Player B will receive 1 shot

In case of a tie for the final season standings, the payouts will be split accordingly.

The cost of the league is $1800 per team (4 man team). The entry fee includes golf, golf car, dinner, weekly skins, proxies, and payout for final season standings. The league is limited to the first 12 entries received. The full payment along with the team roster and schedule are due on Tuesday, April 24th.

The league is now open to all players who possess a current USGA handicap index. Even though this is a four-man event each Tuesday, teams are welcome and encouraged to have more than 4 players on their team roster. The fee is still $1800.

A mandatory team captain’s meeting will be held at the Antelope Hills Bar area on Tuesday, April 24th at 4:30pm. At this time information will be given to further explain the new changes to the league and answer any questions that each team captain may have.
