Mile High Men’s Golf Club Meeting Minutes
Date: June 26, 2026
Present: Tim B., Terry S., Jim D., Bill L., Brian P., Tracey B., Dayton T., Bill W., Ryan P., Gary M. (Absent Brian B)
Call To Order: Meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by President Brown
Previous meeting minutes were approved on line and verified at this meeting.
Membership Report: Bill L reported that the Current Membership stands at 153.
Treasurer’s Report: Dayton provided his current budget report to the board and the information was approved.
Tournament Report: Tracy reported that the AHMGC vs AHWGC tournament is scheduled for July 11. There will be a meeting in the next two weeks between the clubs to finalize the tournament. Elephant Rocks is providing a reduced rate for our tournament on July 18th. Ernie B has agreed to be the AHMGC Captain for the McCarley Cup scheduled for September 7th.
Handicap Committee: Terry reported that he will be completing the USGA Annual report as well as the handicap review this week.
Rules Committee: Brian said that the course is showing some wear issues in spots, but that we will continue to play the ball “as it lies” for the time being. The board will revisit this issue in July. Mention was made that the dirt area to the right side of North #2, in front of the last house, be declared a cart path with appropriate relief. This issue was tabled by the board until the July Meeting.
Old Business: Tim B. stated that there is no new information from the City of Prescott and/or the City Council on possible assistance for the golf course issues. The previous item of proposed board succession was discussed and is an ongoing project for the board.
New Business: The January “away” tournament was discussed as a site has not yet been found. Brian P. will start researching possible sites.
Next Meeting: July 31, 2026 at the Manzanita Grill at 9:30 a.m.
