Mile High Men’s Golf Club Meeting Minutes
Date: May 22, 2026
Present: Tim B., Terry S., Jim D., Bill L., Brian P., Tracey B., Dayton T., Brian B., Ryan P., Dave F., Rick O., Gary M.
Call To Order: Meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by President Brown
Previous meeting minutes were not presented.
Membership Report: Bill L reported that the Current Membership stands at 150.
Treasurer’s Report: Dayton provided his updated 2026 budget report to the board and the 2026 budget information was approved.
Tournament Report: Tracy reported that tournaments are progressing well, he also added that the upcoming tournament with AHWGA is July 11th, 2026, that the format has been determined and that there will be between 15 and 20 teams. Entry fee is $58 plus $10 for the optional buy in.
Handicap Committee: Terry reported that the meeting with the AGA went well and that the AGA is not going to make hole by hole posting mandatory any time soon. He also mentioned that the Sunday Skins game, for the most part, is complying with playing the ball, “as it lies”, which enables the players to post their scores.
Rules Committee: Brian stated that the courses are still in good enough shape to play the ball “as it lies”!
Old Business: Tim B. presented a copy of an email that was sent to the powers that be at the City of Prescott, voicing concerns about the lack of interest in the well being of Antelope Hills Golf courses. He is getting both positive and negative comments in return, so far. The board also discussed a succession plan for the MHMGC Board, to include bringing in new members to replace outgoing ones and the future replacement of Board Officers. All agreed to invite Bill Woodul to join the BOD.
New Business: Terry brought to the boards attention, a possible way to honor Mack McCarley, who recently passed away. The board will discuss this further during the June Board meeting. Terry also stated that MHMGC needs to find a team captain for MHMGC for the upcoming McCarley Cup this fall.
