Mile High Men’s Golf Club Meeting Minutes
Date: July 31, 2026
Present: Tim B., Terry S., Jim D., Bill L., Brian P., Tracy B., Dayton T., Bill W., Ryan P., Brian B.
Call To Order: Meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by President Brown
Previous meeting minutes were approved on line and verified at this meeting.
Membership Report: Bill L reported that the Current Membership stands at 150.
Treasurer’s Report: Dayton provided his current budget report to the board and the information was approved.
Tournament Report: Tracy reported that tournaments were going well, and that the Elephant Rocks tournament for 2027 has already been booked on July 17th with morning tee times. The MHMGC vs AHWGA tournament for 2027 was also discussed with possible changes in how the handicaps for both teams are calculated, more information at a later date. The Busting Cancer tournament fund raising committee will be headed up by Brian B. and Hannah and a meeting will be held with Cookie on August 4th, 2026. There will be regular play groups scheduled ahead of future MHMGC tournaments to help increase revenue for Antelope Hills. Please be considerate of these groups. Brian P. will be checking with Rancho De Los Caballeros in Wickenburg as a possible winter “away” tournament.
Handicap Committee: Terry reported that the USGA Annual report as well as the handicap review have been completed. MHMGC recently removed one member from the roster for failure to comply with MHMGC bylaws as well as USGA and AGA score posting requirements. Please post all scores on the day that you play. One member, who was previously registered as a PGA Professional is applying for and should be granted amateur status in the near future.
Rules Committee: Brian said that the course is still in good enough shape that we will continue to play the ball “as it lies” for the foreseeable future.
Old Business: Tim B. recently met with the New G.M. and the head professional at Antelope Hills to address issues with the course as well as issues with the City of Prescott and the City Council. Tim thought that the meeting went well.
New Business: No New Business
